Cognitive accessibility
In short and in plain language
Cognitive accessibility means: people who find it hard to learn or remember can use a website.
This needs clear language and simple steps. Help should be easy to find.
The well-known rules for websites cover only part of this.
Definition
Cognitive accessibility means that people with impairments in learning, memory, reading, numeracy or attention can understand and use digital services. It includes clear language, simple processes, help that is easy to find and protection against errors. WCAG covers only part of this, and the COGA task force provides further recommendations.
