Questions About Training and Team Building
Long-term successful accessibility requires competence within your own team. Our training courses empower developers, designers and content editors to independently integrate accessibility into their daily work.
- What prior knowledge do training participants need? For developer training: basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. For designer training: experience with design tools. For content training: experience with your CMS. Accessibility prior knowledge is not required for any format. We adjust the level to your team's knowledge.
- Do training sessions take place on-site or remotely? Both are possible. Remote training via video conference works equally well thanks to screen sharing and collaborative code editors. For remote training we recommend shorter blocks of three to four hours over multiple days to maintain concentration.
- How lasting are the training effects? Sustainability depends on whether what is learned is applied in daily work. Our training is practice-oriented and works with your real projects. We recommend refresher training after six to twelve months and integrating automated accessibility tests into the development pipeline.
- Can different roles be trained together? For fundamentals (WCAG overview, accessibility principles) all roles benefit from joint sessions. For in-depth modules we recommend role-specific groups: developers work with code, designers with design tools, editors with the CMS. Practical exercises and tools differ significantly.
- Do you offer individual coaching for developers? Yes, for small teams or individual deepening we offer individual coaching. These are particularly effective when a developer is working on a specific project and needs targeted support with accessible implementation.
- Do participants receive training materials? Yes, every participant receives training materials, checklists and reference cards. Remote training can be recorded on request. Follow-up questions are answered free of charge for 30 days after training.
